Recently Xi3 Corporation revealed its modular computer Chromium PC, world's first ever computer desktop tailor made to work on Google's Chrome Operating system.
The project was first disclosed by Xi3 in year 2009, Chromium PC is actually a version of the Modular Computer by Xi3 which was officially unveiled in 2010; also an Innovations Award winner at the International CES trade show 2011, in computer hardware category.
Xi3 computer is designed in way that it can work on any x86 based operating system available, the computer supports windows, Linux, UNIX or any other open source operating platform. The Xi3 computer offers cloud based operating system where it can be operated on different platforms; users can switch their computer to various operating systems by swapping out any of the three boards inside the Chromium PC.

Without the power supply unit, or adapter, your laptop computer will not work at all. The mobility of the laptop is its greatest attribute, but constantly moving you laptop around leads to one of the most common failures in the laptop power supply units, which occurs in their power cords and connectors. Computer repair is possible in the situation where the DC cable on your power supply breaks or is damaged.

If the cable is damaged near the DC jack, it can easily be repaired in a few steps, but you'll have to cut the cable and replace the old connector with a new one. Find a suitable coaxial cable connector (barrel connector) for your laptop model. Prepare the wire by cutting the cable off about 10-20 mm from the DC connector, strip the cable inside and twist the wires of the braid shield together. Inner conductor should also be stripped, and then solder the new barrel connector onto the stripped cord, making sure polarities are aligned.

An English nonprofit displayed a unique concept to get youngsters into computer programing-a pocketsized computer cheaper than the newest game on the block.

Raspberry Pi, the prototype is a functional computer which developers hope to make for $25, for the completely configured cheap computer.

The computer components are an ARM processor, USB port, and HDMI connection. Connect it to a keyboard and a television or monitor and you have a fully functional Linux system.

The crude prototype requires fine-tuning and Raspberry Pi Foundation's aim is to make available the computer to children in the developed as well as developing countries.

"We plan to develop, manufacture, and distribute ultra-low-cost computers, for use in teaching computer programming to children. This computer should have other applications in the developed and developing world," says a project summary on the nonprofits's webpage.
