The Disposable Laptop?
Posted By admin on September 20, 2010

I have a love-hate relationship with my laptop computer.
I'm not a computer geek, nor a business person. I'm just a simple laptop owner who does word processing and the occasional internet research.
I don't need to keep up with the latest models or newest technologies — couldn't afford it anyway.
Having said that, I've got to tell you that after the experience I've had with my laptop, I'm beginning to think that they are designed from the start to be disposable after a few years. By the time the warranty had expired, the speakers didn't work and my then-toddler had ruined the headphone connection. Several trips to the computer repair shop and virus software applications revealed that the cause of the excruciatingly slow connection was to forever be a perpetual mystery.
I would love to toss this piece of technological junk, but my budget doesn't allow for a new machine right now.
Is it just me?
