I hate IBM laptops

Although many people rely on reviews and word of mouth when choosing which laptop to buy, I think that it is a question of personal choice. While they all tend to have the same guts, they come in different packages. Just as many books are now published with different front covers, as consumers, we buy what looks god – that which is pleasing to our eye will have preference over something that isn't.

I don't like track points, so, after having an IBM Think Pad as my first laptop, I wouldn't buy one again because of the track point. Similarly, the last laptop I bought I was looking for one with as many USB ports as possible. Yes, you can get adapters with several USB ports, but I didn't want to buy an adapter.

I always try to get as large a screen as I can afford because I don't like the look of small screen 'full size' laptops. Keyboards are also important and I spend some time keying before I make my choice. Anything that doesn't fit into these somewhat superficial requirements falls on my list of worse laptops.
