Can any one laptop be worse than another

If you do a Google search for the worst laptops you will come up with lots of results. However, when you start to do some research, what quickly becomes apparent is how subjective all the statistics are. What is evident is that there is very little statistical difference between the laptops that are said to be the best, and those that are said to be the worst. Typically, 3% is the difference between them.
But let's look at this logically for a minute. Laptops are commodity products. This means that a host of companies make all the parts and they are assembled under different cases. But for the most part, all the components come from the same place, regardless of whose logo sits on the case. So, it doesn't make sense to expect there to be such a huge difference.
